The southeast Idaho area has been heavily effected by the current fire in the Henry’s Creek vicinity that started August 23rd, 2016.
As of this morning the Henry Creek fire was up to 43,235 acres with the cause still being unknown. A team of 45 specialists from the Great Basin Incident Management Team 7 has been invited in to help manage the fire. At this point 20% of the fire is contained. Please be aware that the use of drones around the fire does prevent the firefighters from using their aerial resources at this time. The firefighters do need the aerial assistance in order to help them suppress the fire. A lack of aerial resource assistance does put the firefighters on the ground in danger.
