The Loveup Foundation and the Christmas Wish program assist and serve children in need by creating uplifting experiences for families facing difficult life challenges. Through Christmas Wish, we inspire the community to open their hearts and step forward to help others.
Vision
The Christmas Wish program will improve the quality of life for children and their families in need by offering assistance, comfort and hope. Christmas Wish will inspire people and businesses forward on the journey from “wanting to help” to “can help” to “helping”.
The Christmas Wish Program
The Christmas Wish Program grants wishes and offers assistance to families in extreme need. It can be heard on the radio and online during the Johnjay and Rich morning show primarily during the holiday season, between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
How a “Wish” is Chosen and Granted
Listeners are encouraged to submit a letter nominating a family they know of who could use a helping hand. Letters are received via the official entry form using the button below. The chosen families are selected by committee. Families in need must meet specific criteria as established by the Foundation. Once the family is selected, Johnjay and Rich will deliver the Christmas Wish during the radio segment. This is all a surprise to the selected family. The family is called live on the radio and their story is read by the person who nominated them. At the same time The JohnJay & Rich Christmas Wish “Elves” knock on the receiving family’s door to deliver their “wishes/gifts” immediately. Wish fulfillment has included new clothes for the family, toys, groceries, bedding, mattress, gas, auto and home repairs, furniture and specific household bill payments, etc.
